The reasons why you might need to utilize the power of a reverse phone directory are many. You or one of your loved ones may be getting crank calls from an unlisted number and are having trouble finding out who it is. You may need to learn more about a future business partner and all you have is the cell number they gave you. A reverse phone directory can solve all of these issues right away and give you peace of mind, but you may want to try a couple things first BEFORE spending your hard earned money.
I have been using reverse phone directory services and reverse records ever since their inception. There is nothing like real data to work with, especially when it comes to the protection of my family. They are always priority number one. For me, a reverse phone directory is completely worth the small fee for unlimited access, because I never know when I may need to use it. For others who are just looking for a lost classmate or a loved one, and are not generally interested in anything else, there are other ways to go about the search and that cost nothing.
I have used several other reverse phone directory sites with much success, and depending on what it is you need to accomplish, the following sites may help you for free. I have no connection with the sites below so all I can offer is advice on how to use them.
1) Any Who Reverse Phone Directory - This free reverse phone directory will not allow you to look up cell phone numbers or unlisted numbers, but it is great at finding personal and business names and addresses. If you need name and address in the US for any number in question, this is a great way to find it.
2)White Pages Reverse Phone Directory - This one works about the same as the first, but it found some people I looked for that Any Who did not. I have no reason why that is, but you may find use in it as well. Again, no cell phone lookup is available here.
3)Info Space Reverse Phone Directory - This one offers a few different reverse searches including a reverse email and address search. I tried to reverse search a few cell phone numbers but all I got was irrelevant information so I am guessing it does not provide this either. You should give it a try though and see for yourself!
4)DA Plus Reverse Phone Directory- This one is very helpful and offers alot of information for free too. You can reverse search names, business name and phone number but cell numbers are not provided.
I am sure there are many more but these are the main ones I used before I purchased a much more advanced reverse phone directory system to conduct my searches. Cell phone searches will always cost some money and I have yet to find a free reverse phone directory for cell phones. Keep in mind that all of the above services are extremely limited, and like with any free service, they are providing it to try and get you to upgrade into a paid service, and usually the more expensive one at that.
Don't cave in right away and order an expensive search from one of these free services above. For even though a paid reverse phone directory is worth it, you can get a much better and more complete service for half the price that these big companies charge. You just need to be diligent.
