Blackberry 7130g Mobile Phone Review by Mark Hirst

What marks Blackberry phones out from regular models is the way in which they are able to handle emails, and this has made them a very popular choice in the mobile business market. The main selling point of Blackberry is this email capability, and although other companies have begun to offer it through their own phones, even going as far as to use Blackberry software on them, the original Blackberry mobiles such as the new 7130g are incredibly popular with users.

The Blackberry 7130 is the first conventionally shaped phone from the company. In the past their models have been more like a PDA than a regular mobile in order to allow for them to fit a QWERTY keyboard onto them in order to make typing emails as easy as possible. The 7130 also has a QWERTY keyboard, but it is very small, and narrow, so that it fits easily into the form of the phone.

The screen is large enough to make reading emails a breeze, and it is easy to set up the software to push them through from your desktop computer to receive them on the go.

Although the Blackberry 7130 is much heavier than a conventional mobile, it compares well with other smart phones such as the Nokia N95 in terms of both size and weight. The screen is large enough to use to surf the net, and it has a large internal memory to store music for playback on its internal player.

As you would expect, it will send and receive SMS, MMS, and video messages as well as email and calls, and when connected to the internet you can use regular instant messaging programs to chat to other users.

Unlike most comparable phones, the Blackberry does not come with a camera, so if this is important to you, the phone is of no use, but it is quad band enabled and comes with an international charger, so you can use it anywhere in the world.

The Blackberry is not a phone for casual users. It is specifically designed with the business traveller in mind, and although it has games installed upon it, it is first and foremost a tool to enable communication anywhere in the world, so if this is what you are looking for, then this is the phone for you, and it will allow you to receive your emails wherever you are to keep in touch with your office from anywhere.
