Motorola V3xx - Still Better... by Carly Charu
Motorola V3xx does not introduce any ground-breaking ergonomics but it comes as a solid HSDPA phone that is all set to rock the market. Retaining much of the original RAZR v3's design, the mobile comes with a new MP3 player, 1.3 Megapixels camera and a microSD card slot for extra storage. The phone is available in many colours like - blue, black, burnt orange and silver.
In terms of design, the Motorola V3xx is slightly thicker than its original set, measuring 103mm x 53mm x 15mm and weighing 103g. The outside display is quite informative, showing reception, battery life, time and network status. It also shows new events, like missed calls and unread messages. But the catch here is that the external display of Motorola V3xx is not that clear even with the backlight. On the flip side the 2.2in, 320 x 240 pixel TFT internal screen presents a more satisfactory picture. The control and keypad are not altered. These include a five-way navigational pad, two selection buttons, answer/end call keys, and dedicated buttons for video calling, clear and music. When it comes to functionalities, theMotorola V3xx may not be a surprise package but nonetheless provides enhanced features. One of the biggest gift is its quick response user interface. Motorola V3xx includes standard messaging and emailing options with POP3, IMAP, and SMTP protocols supported. Being a new generation HSPDA phone the gadget is also capable of high data speed, while for connectivity, it offers Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0. Further, the phone supports Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP).
Motorola V3xx comes with dual cameras. One 1.3 MP camera (with 8x digital zoom and flash) for video and photography, another VGA camera for video calling. More on the lines of entertainment, the Motorola V3xx comes with a good music player. And if one would rather want to store, download more music and pictures, the 50MB of internal memory comes quite handy. One can also expand the memory further.
A descent phone indeed, Motorola V3xx is for the ones who want more of their RAZR V3.
