Motorola Rizr Z3 Mobile Phone Review by Mark Hirst
The original Motorola RAZR may well have redefined the idea of modern design in the mobile phone world, and created an entire movement of fans who bought the phone for its cutting edge style, but fashion moves on, and many manufacturers such as Samsung now have a strong range of slide case mobile phones such as the U600 which are great to look at, compact, and have first class features on board.
Of course, Motorola are not a company to miss out on an entire market, and earlier this year they took the stunning design of the V3, and converted it into a phone which is expected to take the slide market by storm. The Motorola RIZR Z3 takes the amazing lines of the original RAZR and translates them into a sleek and elegant slide phone that incorporates all the tools and features that you would expect from a new mobile.
The RIZR features a number of tweaks from the original model, and includes a 2 Mega pixel camera, that works exceptionally well with the large external screen to make the phone into an effective video and stills camera when it is closed.
It also has 20MB of onboard memory to store photos and music in MP3 and AAC format that can be expanded with the use of a Micro SD card. The phone comes complete with all the communications functions that you could possibly need to keep in touch including MMS, SMS, and instant messenger functions.
One of the most remarkable things about the RIZR is that unlike other mobile phones, which are widely advertised, and thus taken up by the mass market, such as the various Nokia models, Motorola did almost no advertising to promote the model, and so it has become something of a cult model, only really picked up by those in the know, and made all the more desirable because of this.
The RIZR is widely available through most suppliers and dealers, and is sure to create a buzz whenever you get it out in public, the only danger of owning a phone that is so unusual is that everyone else will immediately want one, and this will only make it less special. It's aimed at people who want something a little unusual, but is a fashion statement in waiting, so unless you want to be at the forefront of a trend, look for a more mainstream model, and follow the herd yourself.
