BlackBerry Mobile Phones- Rising Subscribers Reveals its Success by Deshawn Jon

The BlackBerry mobile phones were introduced in the year 1999 and supports internet faxing, text messaging, web browsing, push e-mail, mobile telephone and other wireless information services. BlackBerry mobile phone has been developed by a Canadian company known as Research in Motion (RIM). This was the first company to concentrate on the e-mail feature. Some of the latest Blackberry handsets are 7100T and 8100.

The 7100T is the first BlackBerry mobile phone which is different from the usual PDA style. It is meant for those customers who wanted to have a more conventional mobile phone with full e-mail facilities. The keypad of 7100T is totally different from the previous Blackberry models. It has a feature of 'Sure Type', which allows you to dial quickly and accurately. The typing can be done using single-handed operation or two handed thumb. This handset doesn't have any dual keypads, hardware transformation, or peripherals, so you need not have to learn a new way of typing. You can find all the features which any mobile phone should have, like speakerphone, advanced call log, Bluetooth, and polyphonic ring tones in this sleek handset.

Now, as far as the BlackBerry 8100 is concerned, it is a handset with digital camera music and video capabilities. It has features like e-mail, web browser, instant messaging, organiser applications and above all the 'SureType' QWERTY keypad. In addition to this, it has a small slim and sleek design, large colour display, EDGE technology for hi-speed web browsing and downloads, enhanced GPRS, Bluetooth plus quad-band functionality. Moreover, it also has a built in e-mail client through which you can review e-mails and attachments. The 1.3 mega pixel camera with video and flash, can give you high-quality images. Above all, it has 64 MB of internal memory which can be expanded using Micro SD card support.

Because of its outstanding features, the subscribers of BlackBerry are increasing day by day. In November 2004, the number of Blackberry subscribers was two million, which have been doubled within a span of ten months. Right now, around 8 million subscribers are using BlackBerry handsets. This shows the continued success of BlackBerry in the mobile phone market.
