HTC Touch Mobile Phone Review by Mark Hirst

Despite the fact that the Apple iPhone has been the star of the media world, there are plenty of other touch screen mobile phones available including the LG Prada phone, and the O2 XDA available, but one of the newest mobiles to offer users a touch screen interface, and the one being talked about as the most unlikely competitor to the iPhone is the HTC Touch, which is one of the first products from the small innovations company from High Tech Computers to attract a mass market attention, and be marketed under the HTC brand.

The HTC Touch uses a proprietary touch screen control system built upon the Windows Mobile 6.0 operating system, which is intended to make it easy to integrate into your home and use in conjunction with your other gadgets.

As you would expect from a smart phone it comes with a whole range of software designed to make using the phone as simple as possible, and to allow users to get full benefit from their phone at all times. The HTC Touch will allow mobile phone owners to be able to access their emails, read Microsoft Word documents, surf the internet, and listen to music including MP3 and WMA music files.

Thanks to the use of the Windows Mobile operating system, the HTC Touch phone allows users to listen to their music through their Media Player, and can easily transfer files from one unit to the other.

Perhaps the biggest drawback to the HTC Touch is that its internal memory is quite limited. The phone only comes with 128MB of on board flash memory, which is not quite enough for storing a lot of music, although by adding a standard Micro SD card, you will be able to expand the on board memory up to the levels of an iPhone with 2GB of space - enough for around 450 songs.

The HTC Touch mobile phone uses a system called Touch-flo to control its functions, and thanks to the easy to get used to nature of the Windows Mobile operating system, it takes very little time to learn all the functions of the phone, and start getting the most out of it. While it may not have the immediate appeal of the iPhone, it shares all the same functions, and even exceeds it in several ways including its better camera, and even though it will not be as popular, it remains a great alternative for anyone who needs a smart phone to be Windows compatible.
